ANCIENT AND MODERN HISTORY:
Electric Motor Service and Controls continues a history of motor service from this location that dates back to 1923. Over the years we have collected a generous range of talented individuals from all over the Northwest and the United States who have spent years in the New Motor and Motor Rewind business.
First established in 1923 by the Lowrey family, our location at 1928 Milwaukee Way has enjoyed great proximity to the Port of Tacoma, manufacturers, and companies in the Pacific Northwest, including Alaska.
Ownership passed to David Hoke in May of 2004, who had previously managed the shop for 10 years as part of Lunde Electric. Most of the employees still remain, though we pride ourselves on constantly seeking new talent in the rewind/motor business.
